Day Three - Tuesday - Praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary

Good morning out there! Another beautiful, sunny day ahead. My migraine is finally
gone and I am so thankful! I will be wearing sun glasses every time I step outside for
the next couple of days. My eyes are really sensitive after I've had a migraine.
Enough whining! I am very grateful that I am healthy and dealing with two or three
migraines a month is not something to complain about! God is good!
Today I am going to post the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Reflecting on these
scriptures really helps me put things in perspective.
I am going to hit the "Save" button right now because I have to get to the Sack Lunch
Ministry. I'll finish my post after lunch!

I'm back! I was blessed to be at the Sack Lunch Ministry volunteering with an awesome
group of people! I took a quick break when Jim stopped by so that we could change out
the pro-life banner. The one we hung up today has four precious toddlers sitting side by
side with just their diapers on.
The scripture, "God saw all that He had made and it was very good" (from the book of
Genesis) is the message on the banner. If that doesn't bring a smile to your face then
nothing will! We watered some of the plants, helped out at the Sack Lunch Ministry
a little more, and then we went to the Noon (12:10 p.m.) Mass. We came back home
and ate some left-overs for lunch.

Are y'all ready? Let's get started with the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. I'm going
to post all the prayers again and then I will follow with the mysteries. After you have
been praying the rosary on a daily basis for a while, the different mysteries/scriptures
will remind you of different things you need to pray about or people you need to pray
for. At least that has been the case for me. Example: The First Sorrowful Mystery is
The Agony in the Garden and that brings to my mind people who might be going
through an extremely difficult time. Praying the rosary helps to keep my focus on
family members and friends that I need to pray for. Let's get started!

The following are the prayers of the rosary -
The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in
Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died,
and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from
the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the
Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and
lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for
us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be To The Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope,
to thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our
sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears; turn, then, most gracious
Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this, our exile, show unto us
the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises
of Christ.

I will post the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary tomorrow (Wednesday).
Everything else (the prayers and the order) will stay the same.
Yes, I posted the Glorious Mysteries on Sunday, but they are also said on
Wednesday and I am going to go in order for one whole week.
