Six Years of Stories from My Heart - And Through it All - Life Goes On!

Hello out there - the sun is shining and the temperature is 66 degrees at 1:30 pm -
here in San Angelo, Texas. This post will be my 443rd post since I began my blog
a little over six years ago (March 22, 2014). So many things have happened in our
country and across the whole world with the Corona Virus Pandemic. My husband
told me that we just have to take this one day at a time - we have to trust in God.
Prayer, faith, hope, and trust - yes, we depend on God.
Last year right before my fifth year of blogging, my husband, Jim had just finished
his quarantine radiation treatment for thyroid cancer. Thanks be to God, he is doing
very well. This year I am going through radiation treatments - I'll leave in a little
while for my 5th treatment - five down, fifteen to go! Jesus, I trust in you!
The following is the post I wrote last year and below that is the post I wrote on the
fourth anniversary. Some things have changed but my mission is still the same.

Articles, Blogs, and Tweets - Oh My!

Hello out there! The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day!
It's been almost two weeks since I've written a post - my last post was about
finding your voice and speaking up for what you believe in. I started my blog                             almost five years ago - my first post was March 22, 2014.
This will be post #406 - Hundreds of stories from my heart. Some are hard to read
because the truth isn't always easy to hear.
Some are just down to earth, everyday life, fun posts:
You might be Catholic if...
You might be a welder's wife if...
You might have ten grandkids if...
Yes, I have a redneck birdbath and a real bird bath too...
People probably realize I'm pro-life because...
Others have helpful links and information that has hopefully been passed along.
I write stories about my faith, my family, our lives. All of my stories have been
written to share the message of life, faith, family, hope and of love. Lots of love!
I've written countless letters to our local newspaper, local leaders, etc.
I got on Facebook three months after I started my blog - something I never thought
I would do. I've done all of these things, taken these steps to "do my part" -
"be a voice for voiceless" hoping and praying that babies will be saved from abortion.
Last year I signed up to be on Twitter - I didn't know what I was doing and just didn't
take the time to figure out how to get my "Tweets" out there.
I still had a twitter account but just didn't mess with it.
Last Saturday night, Jim and I watched the "Gosnell Movie" - Jim had not wanted
to because he knew that it would just upset me. I cried and I could see Jim's jaw
clench throughout the movie. We are both glad we watched it because it just made
us all the more determined to get the pro-life message out there.
We stayed up late discussing how to move up to the next level. We had talked about
me doing some video blogs aka Vlogs, and also adding some podcasts to my blog site
and on You Tube. That is in our plans for the not so distant future. But that night,
one week ago - I looked up the Gosnell Movie and some saw twitter comments.
I clicked on my twitter account and just started tweeting.
I'm still not sure how I did it but I actually started having discussions with a lot of
people from Ireland. Isn't that amazing? I've been tweeting a little bit everyday and
I even have some people that "retweet" what I tweet! By the way, you can find my
"tweets" on Twitter Sharla Ynostrosa @AdoptedBlessed
My message for today is...Don't give up! Keep on trying because the unborn
babies need you and their mothers and fathers do too!
You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise You because I am wonderfully made;
awesome are Your works.

Four Years of Stories from My Heart!

Good morning out there! It is the beginning of a beautiful, sunny day out here in
West Texas. The second day of Spring! The birds are singing and the wind is
blowing. I love listening to the different melodies my wind chimes make.
Today marks a special milestone for me -
I started my blog four years ago today - it is hard to believe I've been doing this
for so long. I've written 342 posts over the past four years (this one will make it
343). I never dreamed I would find so much to write about - I just knew when I
began that I had so much on my heart and that I had to speak up, to find a way to
be a voice for the precious unborn.
I've prayed for God to guide me as I've written these stories for my blog.
I'm going to re-share a poem and a prayer from previous years-a sentimental journey!

Thank you for reading my stories - I pray that in some way they've touched your hearts.

I wrote this poem on July 15, 2015

My heart is so full, I have so much to say,
it is gorgeous outside, the start of a beautiful new day.
This morning I woke with a pain in my heart,
knowing my mission, just not sure where to start!

God has opened my eyes and has touched my heart.
To save the unborn I must do my part.

What should I do, what do I say?
I ask the Lord as I pray.
He fills my head with words to say,
so I write and I write each and every day.

I cry out to Him to show me the way,
How do I make a difference today?
I just don't understand why it's so hard to see,
the horrible death that abortion brings.
What must I do, What must I say?
So I write and I write each and every day.

I send letters to the paper, I write posts for my blog.
I put pictures on face book, and pray for new laws.
I weep for the babies, their innocent lives lost.

What am I missing, am I not doing enough?
Please God help me, please show me the way.
How can I make a difference today?

Then my heart begins to ache,
I know I must speak up!
I know God is telling me, don't you dare give up!
Keep going, keep writing, don't you see?
What you do makes a difference, you are listening to Me!

It matters to God! It matters to Him!
I will write and I will post and I will write again.
I won't give up, I will be their voice!
I will fight for the unborn, because they are babies, not a choice!

May 1, 2015

I pray that your day is full of blessings.
If you are sick, I pray that you will get well.
If you have lost a loved one, I pray that you will be comforted.
 If you are anxious,
I pray that a feeling of peace will wash over you.
If you are lonely, I pray that someone
will reach out to you.
I pray that you will know that even though I may not know you,
I really do care.
If you are struggling financially,
I pray that God will send you what  you need.
If you are struggling with addiction,
I pray that God will give you strength
and courage to give up whatever is holding you hostage.
If you are in a crisis pregnancy,
I pray that you will be directed to the path of life,
and guided to all the help that is available for you and your baby.
If you are a caregiver, I pray that you will get the rest you need,
and know that it is ok to take time for yourself.
Dear God, I lift all the intentions I've listed above to you.
I pray for anyone and everyone who might be suffering
or going through any of the things I've written  about.
Please God, show us how to take care of each other,
to love one another
and help us to be discerning in all that we do.
Thank you for today.
Please guide us and help us to live the way you want us to.
Please keep us safe and help us to look to You,
and not the world for direction and answers.
In Jesus Holy Name I pray, Amen.

Blessings and Peace to you and yours!
Bye for now, Sharla
