Day Seven - Saturday - Praying the Joyful Mysteries of The Rosary

Good morning out there! How are y'all this beautiful Saturday morning? I have really
enjoyed sharing the daily mysteries of the rosary with all of you. Many times I will
think about the scripture I just read and will be reminded to pray for specific people or
things that are going on in the world.
An example would be: This morning as Jim and I were praying the rosary and I read
the First Joyful Mystery - The Annunciation - And when the angel had come to her,
 he said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you." (Luke 1:28) - I prayed for God to
 please help all couples see that their baby is a gift, no matter what the circumstances
 are. I prayed for couples to accept the gift of life and love and nurture their babies. I
also thanked God for blessing Jim and I with our ten grandchildren and we prayed for
each one of them and then we prayed the "Our Father" and followed with the ten
"Hail Marys."
Another example would be: After reading the scripture that goes with the Second
Joyful Mystery - The Visitation - Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a
loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit
of your womb." (Luke 1:41-42) - I prayed that all couples and especially young mothers
be surrounded with family and friends to guide them and walk with them through
their pregnancy and be there to mentor them as parents. I prayed that people would
reach out especially to those who may not have family close by and for those who
are dealing with an unplanned or crisis pregnancy.
These are just some of the things that I think about as I read the scriptures. You will
probably think about something or someone else. That is the blessing that comes with
praying the rosary - it will help and guide you as you pray.

The following are the prayers of the rosary -
The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in
Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died,
and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from
the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the
Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and
lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for
us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be To The Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope,
to thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our
sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears; turn, then, most gracious
Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this, our exile, show unto us
the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises
of Christ.
